Katrina Taggart is a freelance photographer from County Tyrone, now living in Belfast. After coming home from University in Liverpool in 2004, she got her first job working in her local newspaper, where she then went from writing to become the staff photographer.

In 2010 she left the newspaper job to become freelance, which included running a photography studio, leading photography workshops and teaching photography in the local college alongside personal photography projects.

She has recently completed a Masters in the University of Ulster (MFA photography) and created a body of work which documented Irish Pilgrimages. The themes of her work include a nostalgia for old Irish culture and traditions, the spirituality of Irish landscapes and the characters found living in them.
